Dr Wee visits senior citizens in Ayer Hitam

PETALING JAYA: To spread a little cheer, Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong spent some time with seven senior citizens in his constituency, while giving them aid and daily necessities.

Dr Wee, who is Transport Minister, said it was his habit to visit senior citizens in the Ayer Hitam area every time he went back to his constituency.

“Today, I made such trips to the Olak Batu and Sungat Ramput villages,” he said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Aug 6).

Among those he visited were Faridah Ishak, who broke her leg from an accident, diabetes patient Selamat Abdullah and Rukijah Sapar, who is ill and unable to walk.

Also with the MCA president was Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon, who also distributed food supplies and aid to the senior citizens.

“We also offered some words of encouragement to them.

“I hope our presence brought some cheer to them today,” Dr Wee said.
