Covid-19: Pre-departure, on-arrival tests no longer needed for travellers to Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: Pre-departure and on-arrival Covid-19 tests are no longer required for travellers entering Malaysia from Aug 1.

In a Twitter post, the MySejahtera account announced these relaxations through an infographic, adding that home surveillance orders or quarantines were also not required for travellers inbound to Malaysia.

Previously, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said that travellers also no longer needed to fill in the Traveller’s Card.

In a statement on Saturday (July 30), Khairy said this was to simplify procedures for those entering Malaysia.

He added that the decision was made with the view that the current healthcare system was at a good and controlled level.
