Visitors to Sarawak no longer need to fill the Traveller’s Card

KUCHING: All visitors entering Sarawak do not need to fill in the Traveller's Card on the MySejahtera app starting Monday (Aug 1).

In a statement, the state disaster management committee said this was in line with the Health Ministry's decision to do away with the requirement.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin had announced on Saturday (July 30) that all travellers entering Malaysia were no longer required to complete the Traveller's Card from Aug 1.

He said this would simplify entry procedures into the country.

Meanwhile, the committee said Sarawak recorded 505 new Covid-19 cases in epidemiological week 30, up from 437 in the previous week.

It said 498 of the new cases were in the milder Categories 1 and 2 while the remaining seven were in Categories 3 to 5.

There was also one death reported in the Sibu division.
