PETALING JAYA: Not one to stay idle, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic), showed his admiration and support for a group of students from Johor that are currently interns to Subang MP Wong Chen, at the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Aug 1).

In a post on his official Facebook account, he mentioned how he felt the interns had the potential to become great leaders in the future after meeting and chatting with them at the Dewan Rakyat on Monday.

"These will be the future generations' hope for our country someday. I wish good luck to all of them," Dr Wee posted.

Dr Wee added that he met them before the scheduled second reading of the Control of Tobacco Product and Smoking Bill 2022, dubbed the tobacco generational end game (GEG), at the Dewan Rakyat in which he confirmed that debates between MPs regarding the Bill had begun.

"Dewan Rakyat is in session tonight. Minister of Health, YB Khairy Jamaluddin has just completed presenting the GEG bill. Now Members of Parliament have started to debate on the bill," Dr Wee said.
