Prioritise the people, Dr Wee tells Chinese community leaders

PETALING JAYA: Chinese community leaders should always prioritise the people and protect the image and reputation of Johor, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

"The roles of Chinese community leaders are big and important and I have high hopes that all the leaders will carry out their responsibilities well.

"This is to enable the welfare of the people in the state to always be taken care of," said Dr Wee in a Facebook post.

Dr Wee gave a speech during the appointment and oath-taking ceremony of Chinese community leaders in Kota Iskandar, Johor on Sunday (July 31).

"Syabas, congratulations to all 120 Johor Chinese community leaders," he added.

All present were Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Johor state secretary Tan Sri Azmi Rohani, deputy secretary (administration) Datuk Mohd Noh Ibrahim and state health and unity committee chairman Ling Tian Soon.
