PETALING JAYA: Congratulations have come pouring in for Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) president Prof Dr Ewe Hong Tat, who was conferred the Anugerah Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (DSPN), which carries the title Datuk.
Transport Minister and MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the conferment would spur Prof Ewe to bring UTAR and UTAR Hospital to greater heights.
“Congratulations to Dr Ewe on the conferment of the DSPN award which carries the title Datuk.
“I am confident the conferment will further encourage Dr Ewe to continue his hard work in empowering UTAR as well as Hospital UTAR which will be completed soon for the benefit of Malaysians. Good luck!” wrote Dr Wee on Facebook Tuesday (July 26).
The conferment was in conjunction with Penang Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak’s 73rd birthday celebrations.
UTAR also showered their compliments on their president over the award.
“UTAR and UTAR Hospital are very proud of Prof Datuk Dr Ewe’s conferment and congratulate him on this meaningful and significant award,” said UTAR on its official Facebook page.
Prof Ewe has been UTAR president since Sept 1, 2019.
