Ras Adiba on the trail of missing ex-colleague

HOPING to find a clue regarding the disappearance of her former colleague, missing ex-newscaster Zalina Azman, Senator Ras Adiba Radzi drove to the site of their first office in Jalan Liku, Bangsar, in Kuala Lumpur.

Berita Harian quoted the Bernama chairman as saying that she drove to that location on Thursday night in the hope that Zalina might visit the area where her career had first started.

“Who knows? Zal might come around Jalan Liku, where we used to work together a long time ago.

“Based on the news, Zal is still in the country and might be visiting some places that were meaningful to her, including the former TV3 building here,” she added.

Despite having spent three days searching for Zalina, Ras Adiba said she had yet to find any clues regarding her whereabouts.

“I’m optimistic although what I’m doing is just a small step. Some people thought I was crazy that I only started looking for her now,” she added.

Zalina, 58, who used to host several talk shows on TV3, including Money Matters, was reported missing by her son Mikhael Norman, 33, on Nov 29, 2021.

> Harian Metro reported that a woman in Lukut, Negri Sembilan, was shocked to find her house gate splashed with red paint, a scare tactic often used by loan sharks.

But the woman, known only as Nurul Aisyah, 39, claimed to have never borrowed money from anyone and that the loan sharks must have mistakenly targeted her house.

“When I opened the door, I was shocked that my house compound was splattered with red paint, which I believe was done by loan sharks.

“I’m traumatised as I have never taken a loan from anyone, including loan sharks. I think they got the wrong house,” she said.

Lukut assemblyman Choo Ken Hwa said the incident had distressed the wrongly targeted resident and urged those involved not to resort to such intimidating tactics.
