Motorcyclist killed after crashing into car


SEGAMAT: A 47-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he rear-ended a car at Jalan Sri Permata here.

Segamat Fire and Rescue operations commander Fuad Mohamad said the accident was reported at 2.06pm on Tuesday (July 19).

He said initial investigation showed that the motorcyclist had dodged the truck parked on the road shoulder and crashed into the rear of the car.

The man died at the scene from serious head injuries, he said, adding that the victim was travelling from Jementah heading towards Segamat.

Fuad said the driver of the car, an 83-year-old individual, escaped unhurt.
