KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah state assembly rejected a motion to debate issues relating to claims by the self-proclaimed heirs to the defunct Sulu Sultanate, among other matters on Monday (July 18).
Senallang assemblyman Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal had proposed to have the issue debated in the assembly meeting, but Speaker Datuk Kadzim Yahya decided against it after a 20-minute suspension following the proposal.
