Contraband ciggies worth RM500,000 seized

KOTA BARU: Contraband cigarettes worth more than RM500,000 were seized from a parked van here.

State Customs Department director Mohd Nasir Deraman said an enforcement team made the discovery upon checking the vehicle during an operation codenamed Ops Benteng at 12.45pm on Wednesday.There were 82 boxes containing cigarettes of various brands.
