PETALING JAYA: An investigation is being carried out over a commotion at Sungai Buloh PKR division office in Kota Damansara here on Tuesday (July 12).
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said a report on the incident was lodged on Wednesday (July 13) morning.
"We are gathering more information on the alleged incident.
"We are recording the statements of all who were involved in the meeting including the complainant," he said when contacted.
According to a news portal, the commotion occurred at about 9.40pm on Tuesday after the division meeting, which was held after the winners of the PKR election was announced recently.
A division committee member lodged a report claiming that an off-duty policeman, who was working as a driver for a politician, had barged into the meeting room.
The report said the policeman allegedly tried to force several committee members to follow him downstairs for a discussion.
