Firemen rescue 14 from Pudu shop blaze


KUALA LUMPUR: An early morning fire trapped 14 people inside a Pudu shophouse as firefighters worked to battle the blaze.

The fire at a printing shop in Pudu was successfully extinguished at 7.24am on Wednesday (July 13).

“Thirteen foreign men, aged between 25 and 45, and a 76-year-old local woman were rescued with the use of an aerial ladder platform. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries were reported,” the City Fire and Rescue department said in a statement.
