Wan Saiful: Last day as PTPTN head was in June

PETALING JAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia's information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan is no longer the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) chairman.

He confirmed the news in a Facebook post on Tuesday (July 12).

Wan Saiful said his last day at PTPTN was on June 17, 2022.

“I don't think there should be any questions. As far as I remember, it has been a long time since I mentioned publicly that my last day at PTPTN is on June 17. As for my next step, wait until the next step arrives,” he said.

Wan Saiful was responding to an Utusan Malaysia report which raised questions as to Wan Saiful’s status as PTPTN chairman, pointing out that its website showed the position had been vacated though no official statement had been made.

On June 18, 2018, Wan Saiful was appointed the PTPTN chairman under the Pakatan Harapan administration.
