KUALA LUMPUR: An entertainment outlet that had been raided five times this year was found yet again to be operating with foreigners working as guest relations officers.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai said in a statement on Saturday (July 9) that the police raided the premises on Friday (July 8) at 6.58pm in Jalan Metro Perdana Barat.

Thirteen arrests were made, including a local man that was the premises caretaker, while the rest were suspected GROs.

"All suspects are aged between 23 and 45. Investigations showed that the premises had been raided five times between January and July this year.

"Checks on the local suspect showed that he had five prior police records. All of them will be remanded today for further investigation," he said.

The case is being investigated for operating without a valid license, hiring foreign workers without valid permits and abuse of work permits.
