Covid-19: Sabah's daily cases dip slightly to 176 new infections, says Masidi

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s Covid-19 numbers dropped slightly to 176 cases on Friday (July 8), says Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

The state minister in charge of Covid-19 matters said from this number, a total of 174 are under Category 1 and Category 2 while two are in Category 4.

“No new clusters were reported,” he said in his daily Covid-19 briefing.

He said although the numbers reduced slightly, there are more districts recording new cases.

“For example, districts that had been cleared of new cases including Lahad Datu (seven new cases) and Kota Belud (five cases) recorded fresh transmissions,” Masidi said.

He reminded the public to continue to be vigilant and not to take the virus lightly as the number of cases are expected to rise and fall over the coming days.
