Nur Jazlan brands PAS politicians as ‘cap ayam’

PETALING JAYA: Cabinet ministers from PAS are only interested in their position and ranking, but are actually incompetent when it comes to real work, says Johor Umno deputy chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed.

The former Pulai MP slammed the performance shown by the Cabinet ministers from PAS, who he claims have failed to shoulder their responsibilities properly.

He said the weak leadership from the party has caused Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri to bear various national problems.

“The reality is that the Prime Minister has to bear all the problems and issues of the country because you cannot rely on the ministers in the government today. Not to mention the ministers and deputy ministers appointed among PAS leaders, everyone is cap ayam (mediocre).

“These ministers do not have the ability to lead or manage their ministries, but act like those from European countries.

“PAS ministers are just happy to lavish themselves with stylish expensive clothes, luxury cars and live in Putrajaya, get a handsome salary and obtain VVIP treatment. But when it comes to actual work, they fail because they don’t know how to do it,” he said to Utusan Malaysia.

Nur Jazlan also singled out PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, who he claimed to have failed in carrying out his responsibilities.

Abdul Hadi, he said, was appointed as the Special Envoy to the Middle East but his “office” is in the East Coast.

“It is so weird, how does he (Hadi) carry out his work as an ambassador? Every other ambassador does their work at the office where they are placed, but as a special envoy, this one is in Marang (Terengganu).

“This is the kind of quality and credibility of cap ayam ministers from PAS that becomes a burden for the prime minister. Those who cannot work, those who are inefficient and those who make mistakes until the government, as well as the prime minister, have to assume,” he said.

As such, Nur Jazlan said the PAS ministers involved were more ignorant in politics, but instead they were good at manipulating by looking smart and authoritative.

“That is why I have never trusted these PAS leaders for a long time. They only know how to nod in murky waters, and are willing to use anyone for their personal and political interests," he said.
