Hamzah to meet up Mohamaddin over move to quit Bersatu


PUTRAJAYA: The resignation of Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia is still not official yet, says party secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

Hamzah said while he had received a text message from Mohamaddin on Tuesday (June 28) morning, the party had not received an official notification from the Lahad Datu MP on his resignation.

"I did receive a text from him this morning. But nothing official from him yet.

"I will meet up with him and we will have a talk," said Hamzah at a press conference at his ministry on Tuesday.

Hamzah declined to reveal if Bersatu would accept or reject Mohamaddin's resignation.

Mohamaddin Ketapi had announced that he is quitting the party he joined only six months ago.

Mohamaddin, who is also Segama assemblyman, said he decided to quit Bersatu as he was not given any role despite joining the party on Nov 26.
