Kuala Muda OCPD Asst Comm Zaidy Che Hassan said the incident happened in Pantai Merdeka at 6.22pm on June 19 when the suspect, a 23-year-old woman, stabbed the victim with her car key.
The victim was at a toy stall belonging to her sister when she was suddenly attacked by the suspect who has since been arrested.
"During the incident, there was a scuffle between the suspect and the victim," he said in a statement Wednesday (June 22).
ACP Zaidy said following the incident, the victim suffered injuries to her right eyebrow after being struck by the car key and complained of body aches.
He said the initial investigation found that the incident was caused by the suspect being unhappy with the victim’s family over some business matter.
