ACTRESS Ruhainies (pic) refuses to divulge details of her relationship with her significant other known only as “Mr E” as she does not want fans to overlook the development of her career, reported Utusan Malaysia.

The 29-year-old, whose full name is Nur Ruhainies Farehah Zainul Ilyas, said she does not care if fans wish to speculate.

“I do not want to comment on whether we are still in a relationship or have broken up.

“Enough with what has been shared with fans before,” she said.

Asked if Mr E was disappointed to see how close she was to controversial actor Zul Ariffin, Ruhainies said everything was done according to how she wanted it.

“I am close to Zul as a friend and fellow artiste,” she said.

Asked about possible wedding bells, Ruhainies said she had no plans to get married this year.

“I want to focus on strengthening my name and my career first.

“I don’t want to be known only as a TV drama actor because I want to develop my movie career,” said Ruhainies, who will appear in a new film, Musyrik – Api Neraka Menantimu!.

She also said she was a “coward” but was persuaded to act in the horror film by director Arjin Uppal.

“I am lucky to work with experienced actors like Ashraf Muslim and Aeril Zafrel in this film,” she added.

> An unlicensed karaoke centre in Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur, offering prostitution services via its guest relations officers (GROs) was raided by the police on Saturday.

Sinar Harian reported that 40 customers, comprising 37 men and three women aged between 25 and 49, were checked during the raid.

A local man believed to be the caretaker of the premises and five Vietnamese women aged between 23 and 34 were arrested.

Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigations Department (CID) chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Habibi Majinji said the raid was carried out by a team from the Bukit Aman CID anti-vice, gambling and secret societies division (D7) at about 11.30pm.

“Investigations found that this karaoke centre provides its ‘services’ for as low as RM100,” he said, adding that it had been operating for four months and had been doing so without a licence.

> Amid their financial hardship, a couple has been raising three of their five children who are people with disabilities (OKU), reported Kosmo!.

Nur Fazida Mokhtar, 45, said her second child Muhammad Daniel Hakim Mohd Ridhwan, 13, and her third, Nur Fatin Qalisha, 12, were diagnosed with learning disabilities when they were each eight years old.

Her fourth child, Muhammad Daniel Harraz, nine, has been suffering from cerebral palsy since birth.

The disease has made him bedridden, and he also suffers from intestinal obstruction, she added.

“It causes him to often have a fever and poor appetite.

“Because of this, his body weight is only 10kg even though he is nine years old,” she said when met recently.

She also said Muhammad Daniel has to undergo bowel surgery, but it cannot be performed because his weight has never reached 15kg, the minimum needed to undergo the surgical procedure.

“He drinks special milk and finely ground rice porridge. The cost of the special milk and disposable diapers is about RM500 a month.

“My two disabled children also still need help to take care of themselves, even if it’s as easy as wearing clothes,” she said.

Nur Fazida said her husband, Mohd Ridzwan Ibrahim, 45, works in the village with an average income of only RM500 a month and suffers from gout and high blood pressure.
