Jagdeep Singh hospitalised after being shoved to the ground


GEORGE TOWN: A Penang exco member was shoved to the ground by a man who is believed to be drunk.

It is learnt that state housing, local government, town and country planning committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo has been hospitalised after he was allegedly attacked on Friday (June 17) evening.

It is learnt that Jagdeep was having dinner with his family when the suspect approached and pushed him, causing him to fall down.

The suspect then headed towards his car and drove away.

It is believed that the 51-year-old exco man is in stable condition and is recuperating well.

The case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
