Covid-19: Drop in cases, no new clusters in Sabah


KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s Covid-19 numbers dropped slightly with 93 cases recorded on Sunday (June 19).

Minister in charge of Covid-19 matters in the state, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there was a drop of 34 cases compared with Saturday’s (June 18) 127.

“Overall, this is an improvement to the situation with a total of 19 districts not recording any new cases,” he said in his daily statement.

He said Kota Kinabalu district recorded the highest number at 56 cases, followed by Penampang (14) and Sandakan (10).

Masidi said there were no new clusters.

Of the latest number, 92 cases are in Category 1 and 2 while one case is under Category 4.
