PKR polls: Rafizi takes lead in Selangor in tight race for No. 2 spot


KLANG: It was a close fight between Rafizi Ramli and Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail for the coveted PKR deputy president’s post in Selangor.

However, Rafizi emerged the victor with 13 of the state’s 22 divisions wanting him to be the party’s number two.

The divisions that voted for Rafizi were Sabak Bernam, Sungai Besar, Hulu Selangor, Tanjong Karang, Kuala Selangor, Selayang, Gombak, Ampang, Pandan, Puchong, Subang, Shah Alam and Kuala Langat.

Meanwhile, Hulu Langat, Bangi, Sungai Buloh, Petaling Jaya, Damansara, Kapar, Klang, Kota Raja and Sepang voted for Saifuddin.

In Hulu Selangor, SP Care founder Dr Sathia Prakash Nadarajan unseated Hulu Selangor MP June Leow Hsiad Hui for the division’s chief’s post whilst Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari retained his position as the Gombak division chief.
