Fuel prices May 19-25: RON97 reaches RM4.33 per litre, another record high


KUALA LUMPUR: The retail price of RON97 petrol will go up two sen per litre to RM4.33 per litre from May 19-25, reaching another all-time high.

The prices of RON95 petrol and diesel remain unchanged at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre respectively, said the Finance Ministry in a statement on Wednesday (May 18).

In the statement, it said the prices of RON95 petrol and diesel were maintained at their ceiling prices even though market prices have risen above this.

The ministry said new fuel prices are based on the weekly retail price of petroleum products in accordance with the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula.
