Police reports lodged over harassment of reporters at Pudu UTC

KUALA LUMPUR: A disagreement between reporters from a news portal and a security guard at the Pudu Urban Transformation Centres (UTC) has led to police reports being lodged.

The Vibes tweeted on Saturday (May 14) that two of their reporters were harassed by a security guard at the Pudu UTC when they were covering a story about long queues for passport renewals.

In the video, a security guard can be seen telling both reporters to leave immediately and to stop filming, before shouting at them angrily.

The video ends after the guard is seen snatching the handphone of one of the reporters.

When contacted, Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said that police were aware of the matter.

"The security guard lodged a report at 12.09pm. It is understood that the representatives from the news portal are in the midst of making their own," he said.
