MELAKA: Junior doctors in Melaka who have been a target of bullying, racial slurs and overworking can send their complaints directly to Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh.
The Melaka Health and Anti-Drugs committee chairman said he would handle each complaint personally.

"I am also warning specialists and medical officers not to bully those under housemanship in public hospitals here.
"These junior doctors are there to learn and gain experience," Dr Muhamad Akmal said in an interview here on Saturday (May 7).
He said junior doctors could meet him directly at his office or direct complaints through his Facebook account and he would look into them at once.

Dr Muhamad Akmal said he was also subjected to such bullying when he was doing his housemanship at a hospital in Selangor.
However, he said he did not experienced severe mental torture from his seniors when he was a junior doctor.
