PETALING JAYA: Malaysians can now check for cases of infectious diseases in their vicinity via a newly introduced feature in the MySejahtera app, says Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
In a tweet on Tuesday (May 3), Khairy said the new “Infectious Disease Tracker” feature will show the number of active cases of infectious diseases in their area.
“I hope the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration was festive enough on the second day. Continue wearing face masks at enclosed and crowded areas. If you have symptoms, conduct a self-test and report using MySejahtera," said Khairy.
He added that the latest MySejahtera update introduces a new feature for people to see the number of cases of infectious diseases in their area.
Figures for common illnesses such as Covid-19, dengue, rabies, measles, and Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) are now shown in the infectious disease tracker feature at the MySejahtera app's home screen.
Khairy added that it is still mandatory to wear face masks while indoors and using public transportation.
Beginning May 1, the wearing of face masks will no longer be mandatory. However, face masks are still strongly encouraged to be worn outdoors and in open areas.
Saya harap sambutan Aidilfitri anda ceria pada Raya kedua. Terus pakai pelitup muka di kawasan tertutup dan/atau sesak. Jika bergejala buat ujian kendiri & lapor di @my_sejahtera.
