PETALING JAYA: The dreaded jams resulting from Hari Raya celebrations were back as Malaysians head for their hometowns to celebrate with their loved ones after a two-year hiatus.

Checks on the Malaysian Highway Authority social media updates showed northbound congestion in several stretches in Perak; from Slim River to Sungkai, Tapah to Gopeng, as well as from Behrang and Slim River to Bidor.
