Water cuts in KL: 15 areas affected after pipe bursts at Taman Pertama

KUALA LUMPUR: Emergency repair works will be carried out at the Pudu Ulu Baru Pump House, Taman Pertama, following a pipe burst.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said the repair works would be conducted from 11.30am Saturday (April 30) and would cause a water disruption in 15 areas here.

"The areas that are affected by the unscheduled water supply disruption are Bukit Permai Industri, Kampung Cheras Baru, Pandan Bistari, Taman Bukit Pandan, Taman Bukit Permai, Taman Bukit Teratai, Taman Mawar, Taman Mega Jaya, Taman Melur, Taman Mestika, Taman Muda, Taman Pandan Mewah, Taman Putra, Taman Saga and Taman Seraya.

"The repair works are expected to be fully completed at 9.30pm on Saturday (April 30). Water supply will begin to be distributed in stages to consumers’ premises once the repair works have been completed," it said in the statement.

It added that alternative assistance through water tankers would be mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises during the unscheduled water supply disruption.

It also said Air Selangor would provide updates progressively from time to time.

"Consumers can refer to all our official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or contact the Air Selangor contact centre at 15300," it said.
