All systems go for safe trip home this Raya, says Wee

PETALING JAYA: Public transport operators are ready to give their best to ensure Malaysians are able to balik kampung safely this Hari Raya Aidilfitri, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Transport Minister, who was at the Southern Integrated Transport Terminal (TBS) in Kuala Lumpur, said he was happy with preparations by the ministry's agencies, the terminal operator as well as public transport companies.

"With Hari Raya just a few days away, many are taking this opportunity to balik kampung to spend time with their families.

"There are others who are travelling to their chosen destinations with their families this holiday season," said Dr Wee in a Facebook post on Friday (April 29).

Dr Wee said he interacted with public transport users and bus drivers during his inspection at TBS Friday morning.

He also observed the ticket-selling process using the Centralised Ticketing System (CTS) and the self-service machine.

"I also distributed Hari Raya goodies, prepared by Maju Tmas Sdn Bhd, to public transport users and drivers.

"Here's wishing everyone a safe journey to their destinations," he said.

Accompanying Dr Wee on the walkabout were the Land Public Transport Agency (Apad) director-general Azlan Shah Al Bakri and Maju Tmas Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Roslan Shariff.
