New cases dip below 15,000 mark


KUALA LUMPUR: The number of new Covid-19 cases in Malaysia dropped to 14,692 on Saturday, with 99.46% of them in Categories 1 and 2, says Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

This brings the cumulative figure to 4,234,087 cases since the outbreak began more than two years ago. He said 8,557 cases or 58.24% of the latest infections were in Category 1 and 6,056 cases or 41.22% in Category 2.
