Sighting of new moon for Ramadan on April 1


KUALA LUMPUR: The date to sight the new moon to determine the start of Ramadan for Muslims in Malaysia has been set for April 1, or 29th Syaaban 1443 Hijrah.

The Office of the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, in a statement, said the date for the beginning of the fast will be announced on the same night via radio and television.
