Covid-19: Infectivity rate down, but too early to presume Omicron wave has peaked, says KJ


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Covid-19 infectivity rate (Rt) was at 1.06 on Sunday (Feb 27), a 0.02 decrease from the 1.08 Rt reported on Saturday (Feb 26).

In a tweet, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said although the country's daily Rt had steadily dropped to 1.05, it is too early to say that Malaysia has gone past the peak of the Omicron wave even with 96% of active cases recovering at home and hospital capacity under control.
