Johor polls: Balance struck between democracy and the fight against Covid-19, says MCA


JOHOR BARU: The Election Commission (EC)’s standard operating procedures (SOP) for the Johor election is to ensure that democracy continues to flourish in Malaysia amidst its efforts to manage the Covid-19 pandemic, Johor Wanita MCA chief Wong You Fong (pic).

She said that the EC had allowed political parties to hold physical ceramah and campaigning, but a police permit had to be obtained beforehand.
