Covid-19: Over 450,000 kids given first dose of vaccine


KUALA LUMPUR: A total 454,194 children or 12.8 per cent of the child population, aged from five to 11 years in Malaysia, have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) as of Saturday (Feb 19).

Based on data from the website CovidNow, a total 13,924,411 or 59.2 percent of the adult population in the country have received the Covid-19 booster dose, 22,943,785 or 97.5 per cent given two doses while 23,220,757 or 98.7 percent have received at least one dose.
