PAGOH: Perikatan Nasional has appointed Pasir Mas MP and PAS youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari to head the coalition's Youth wing, replacing Senator Khairil Nizam Khirudin.
Perikatan secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the decision was made by its supreme council which met on Wednesday (Jan 26), with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), PAS, Sabah STAR, SAPP and Gerakan attending.
“The council also agreed to appoint Bemban assemblyman Dr Mohd Yadzil Yaakub, who is Melaka Bersatu chairman, as the state Perikatan chairman.
“Both appointments will take effect immediately,” he said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 27).
Hamzah added that the meeting also discussed the current political situation extensively, especially the Perikatan’ machinery and preparations to face the upcoming Johor state election.
