Govt committed to addressing consumer goods price hikes, says Ismail Sabri

PETALING JAYA: The government is concerned over the recent increases in the price of consumer goods and is committed to ensuring that this is addressed quickly for the welfare of the "Malaysian Family", says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Prime Minister said, in a Facebook post Monday (Jan 24), that he would chair a meeting of the National Action Council soon to get feedback from the relevant ministries.

"The government is concerned over the recent increases in the prices of goods.

"I will be chairing a National Action Council meeting in the near future to get a detailed explanation from the ministries involved," he said in his Facebook post.

He added that the government was committed to addressing the issue to ensure the welfare of all Malaysians.
