Cops investigating assault of homeless man along Jalan Bukit Bintang


KUALA LUMPUR: Police here are investigating an incident where a homeless man was assaulted in front of a shopping mall in Bukit Bintang.

A 30-second video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said the police are in the midst of tracking down those involved in the incident.

"We urge those with information on the case to come forward to assist the investigation. We are investigating the case under Section 323 of the Penal Code," he said in a statement.

ACP Noor Dellhan reminded the public not to be involved in any incident that infringes on any laws.

"Those with information on any crime can contact Dang Wangi police at 03-26002222 or KL police hotline at 03-21159999 or any nearest police station.
