GEORGE TOWN: Former state tourism committee chairman Datuk Danny Law Heng Kiang has quit DAP.
State DAP secretary Lim Hui Ying said they received Law's resignation letter on Tuesday (Jan 18).
"We have received the resignation letter dated Jan 18.
“The state committee respects his decision and thanks him for his service," she said in a statement on Tuesday.
Lim, however, did not disclose the reason for Law’s resignation.
Law was Batu Lanchang assemblyman from 1999 to 2004 and again in 2008.
He held the seat until 2018, but was not picked as a candidate in that year's general election.
