Khairuddin dropped from PAS central committee

MARANG: Kuala Nerus MP Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali has been dropped as a member of the PAS central committee for the 2021-2023 session.

The matter was confirmed by party president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang when met by reporters after delivering his weekly lecture in Rusila here yesterday.

“This is normal in PAS. We have our disciplinary board.

“Those who have disciplinary problems can be advised to take up other positions or perform other duties or be suspended or sacked.

“There are many reasons. These are the party’s procedures,” Abdul Hadi said.

It is learned that the removal of Mohd Khairuddin from his position was finalised at the party’s central committee meeting in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

The former plantation industries and commodities minister failed to retain his position as a central committee member for the 2021-2023 session during the party’s 67th annual muktamar (assembly) in November last year.

However, he was reappointed to the post with two others – Dr Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki and Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz. — Bernama
