AMPANG: Five more individuals will be called up by police to help with the investigation of an alleged sexual harassment case involving a senior judge.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said police will be recording statements from the five.

"So far, we have already recorded the statements of three individuals, including the senior judge and the woman who lodged the report (on the alleged sexual harassment).

"Their statements are important in assisting the probe before the investigation paper can be referred to the deputy public prosecutor," he said when contacted Thursday (Jan 13), adding that the investigation was ongoing.

On Wednesday (Jan 12), ACP Mohamad Farouk said the senior judge had also lodged a report against his accuser.

The judge's report described the complaint by the married woman, who claimed that she had found him naked on a bed at her home in August 2020, as false.

It is believed that the woman's husband was bedridden during the time of the alleged incident.

ACP Mohamad Farouk said the judge lodged the report last month, a few days after the woman went to the police.

“At this time we are... calling up witnesses who may have more information that could assist in the investigation.

“We have recorded the statement of the woman as well as other witnesses but I cannot elaborate as it could disrupt the investigation,” he said.
