Cops still investigating alleged sexual harassment by senior judge

AMPANG: Investigations into an alleged sexual harrasment incident by a senior judge here are still underway, says the police.

When contacted, Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak confirmed the matter.

"Yes, the matter is still under investigation," he said when contacted Tuesday (Jan 11).

Earlier, ACP Mohamad Farouk told an online portal that the investigation paper is currently with the deputy public prosecutor and that the police were awaiting further information.

It is learnt that the victim lodged her report in December last year.

It was alleged that the 57-year-old married victim was visited by the judge at her home in August 2020 at night.

It was also alleged that the victim's husband was ill at the time and was bedridden when the alleged sexual harrasment took place.
