Covid-19: Cops investigating case of SOP non-compliance at event hosting Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: An event by a political party that hosted former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is being investigated by the police for failing to adhere to Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP).

The event at PWTC took place on Jan 7 according to photos on social media.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya, in a statement Tuesday (Jan 11), said that police have opened an investigation paper on the event.

This follows after a complaint posted on social media on Jan 11 over the lack of mask wearing.

"The police advise all to follow the set SOPs that are in place, and that action will be taken if non-compliances are detected," he said.
