Kajang MRT line train services disrupted due to technical problem

PETALING JAYA: A technical problem on a train that occurred at the Phileo Damansara MRT station has caused a delay in the train services schedule on Wednesday (Jan 5), says Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd.

The operator of the Kajang MRT line also apologised for the inconvenience experienced by users due to the delays.

“This occurred as one of the trains (number 22) experienced technical problems while approaching the station. The operation side then activated the alternative service plan by using one track between the Phileo Damansara station and the Semantan station,” it said.

Rapid Rail added that users from the Kwasa Sentral direction have to alight and get to the intermediary train between the Phileo Damansara station to the Semantan station to continue their journey as usual.

“Likewise, users from the Kajang direction have to alight and get on the intermediary train at the Semantan station to the Phileo Damansara station. This situation caused the train movements to become slower and stop longer at the platform,” it said in a statement on Wednesday.

It added that work to identify the problems is currently being conducted by the Rapid Rail technical team.

“The focus of the operation team is to ensure that the users would be able to continue their journey to their workplace safely,” it said.

It also said that the alternative service plan would continue to be activated until the services return to normal and added that users can get the latest status of its services through their social media platforms.
