KUCHING: DAP’s Padungan candidate Chong Chieng Jen, accompanied by his wife and parents, arrived at 8.55am Saturday (Dec 18) at the SMK Kuching High polling centre.

He described the voting process as smooth and refused to comment on politics.

"Campaigns are no longer allowed so I won’t be making comments," Chong added.

Chong is DAP's state chairman and prior to this held the Kota Sentosa seat since 2006.

Padungan is seeing a four-cornered fight.

Chong is facing Sarawak People’s Aspiration Party (Aspirasi) president Lina Soo; Gabungan Parti Sarawak's Datuk Wee Hong Seng; and Parti Bumi Kenyalang candidate Raymond Thong.
