MELAKA: A total of RM17.98 million has been lost through 767 online fraud cases from January to November this year, says state police chief Datuk Abdul Majid Mohd Ali.
He said this number involved online purchase scams, investment scams, non-existent loans, as well as Macau and love scams, and added that total losses rose by RM2.07 million compared to 15.9 million for the same period last year, when 772 cases were recorded.
