Malaysia attempts to get re-elected for ninth term as IMO Assembly council member


PETALING JAYA: The Transport Ministry has made a bid to the International Maritime Organization Assembly to re-elect Malaysia to a ninth term as a council member under Category C for the coming biennium.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said Malaysia released its general statement to address the 32nd session of the IMO Assembly, held from Dec 6 to 15 this year.
