MELAKA: Former Asahan state assemblyman Datuk Seri Abdul Ghafar Atan passed away in Melaka Hospital at 1.04pm on Wednesday (Nov 17).

His son, Nor Halis Abdul Ghafar, when contacted, confirmed the matter.
