Selangor Ruler wants number of Friday prayer worshippers at mosques, surau to be increased


SHAH ALAM (Bernama): Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has ordered that the number of worshippers performing Friday prayers be increased for mosques and surau in the state that are allowed to hold Friday prayers.

"For example, the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque will be able to allow up to 3,500 worshippers compared to 2,000 currently," said the Ruler in a statement posted on the Selangor Royal official Facebook page on Sunday (
