James Masing's passing a great loss to the country, says Dr Wee


KUALA LUMPUR: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has offered his condolences to the family of the late Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri James Masing.

In a Facebook post on Sunday (Oct 31), Dr Wee said his passing was a great loss to the community and nation.

"His contributions and sacrifices for the community especially in Sarawak will surely be remembered. May his soul be showered with grace," he said.

Masing passed away at Normah Sarawak Medical Centre (NSMC), Petra Jaya here at 7.05am on Sunday morning aged 72.

Masing, who was also the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president, had been admitted to the hospital on Sept 28 for Covid-19.
