KUALA LUMPUR: A total of RM25mil will be provided under Budget 2022 to help children who were made orphans by the Covid-19 pandemic through Yayasan Keluarga Malaysia said Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.

"The Prime Minister had the opportunity on Oct 16 to visit children who lost their mothers and fathers due to Covid-19.

"The whole nation also expressed its sympathy over the fate of these children.

"For Muhammad Hadhrami, Husna Humaira, Muhammad Harraz, Muhammad Hawwas and Hannan Humaira and all the other orphans of Keluarga Malaysia, we love you all and we will always take care of you," he said when unveiling the RM322.1bil Budget 2022 in Dewan Rakyat on Friday (Oct 29).

He said the RM25mil would be used to take care of the future welfare and education needs of the children.
